This is a typically well made solid pine blanket box with a strong structure and base

This is a lovely original 19th century Blanket Box later painted in my preferred style of restoration

I have also coated the entire finished price in a solid natural wax and then softened with talc to create a velvety smooth feel to the surface

I have painted the body in a pale blue typical of Gustavian furniture of the period and the top in a very deep brown

Please note that all my painted & restored furniture is of a certain age and over the years has picked up knocks and scrapes which add to each piece's uniqueness
