An example of a Luftwaffe greatcoat belonging to an Oberleutnant, constructed of weather hardened cotton rayon blend fabric, with a traditional turned down collar and big lapels. On the underside of the collar, by the opening, is a hidden strip of fabric that meets a grey bakelite button on the opposing side to secure the collar shut during adverse weather conditions. The shoulders are decorated with sewn on
