Germany, Imperial. A Naval Wound Badge, Black Grade Auction Archive maker marked “ECK - Frankfurt(Marine Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). Constructed of blackened bronze, vertical pinback, the obverse with a central anchor overlaid by crossed swords on a pebbled background, inside of an oval chain, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41. 42 mm (w) x 46. 50 mm (h), weighing 6. 5 grams, in near mint condition.
