Chaenomeles 'Pink Lady', 3L Autumn Garden it lacks cellulose cell wallsThis deciduous Chaenomeles x superba Pink Lady is a spreading shrub, with spiny branches bearing glossy, ovate leaves. In the late winter (and earlier than other varieties), it produces pretty, pink, cup shaped flowers on leafless stems, which look particularly striking when trained up a wall or fence. The aromatic, green yellow fruit that follows in autumn is traditionally used to make preserves and jellies (see note below).
