The fabric is gabardine rayon in a peculiar shade of brown, close to "dirt brown". She has a beautiful rouded collar framed by radical 1940s padded shoulders. The cuffs of this jacket are very peculiar and they are reminiscent of the late 19th Century cuffs. This is a tailoring piece and the peplum and pads are lined with silk.
